REVIEW - HOTTEST MUSIC SITES
INTRODUCTION
Students at Adams Elementary
School in Spokane, WA developed this
module as part of an after
school program called HUBS sponsored by District 81. Fourth through
sixth graders used the Neighborhood College to help learn how to
navigate the Internet.
The last week of the program they
found their own web sites to include in the Neighborhood College.
The students chose contemporary music as their subject and selected
these sites for other teens interested in the latest, hottest, music
available.
Let's Cover a Few of
the Basics
- There is a difference between searching and surfing the Internet.
Surfing is going over the surface much like riding the waves.
Searching is targeted, looking for a particular subject or subjects.
- Not everything you will want to find is on-line.
- Looking for particular information can take time. When you are
ready to search by yourself, set aside an hour so that you can
fully enjoy the adventure.
Below are sample links to
show you the value of using the Internet to access the latest and
best contemporary music sites. Learning about the many ways to find
information important to you can be a truly rewarding experience.
